Sacramento area writers, come join me and rest of the Capitol Crimes crew this Saturday at the South Natomas Library for Tarot for Authors.

I’ll be hosting a workshop where we explore using tarot cards as writing prompts. This practice has been a great addition to my writing process, and I hope it will be for you too.

Whether you’re a skeptic or a regular practitioner when it comes to tarot, have you ever considered using it as a tool to help your writing? After Lisa Kessler’s presentation, many Capitol Crimes members have become hooked!

Join us for an in-person two-hour workshop to explore how this process could work for you. Board Member Jessica Arden will give us a brief introduction to the elements of tarot, then we will write using a variety of tarot prompts and discuss the results.

If you have a favorite deck (or several) feel free to bring them. If not, we will have decks for you to use. It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to write together in person, and we’re looking forward to a fun morning of learning and creativity.

The workshop is free and open to all, so join us and bring a friend!

  1. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
